Spoils of NY

Spoils of NY

As expected, I picked up far too many little goodies at Laduree.  I do appreciate the irony of purchasing macaroons, dragees and a belt on the same day, but I’ve been searching for the perfect, simple black belt for over a year.  I also stumbled upon a pair of Repettos to replace my late, lamented sand colored Porselli flats.  They’re cut lower near the toes and are a bit less pointy, but I think they’ll do the trick.  And the Lilas candle is my somewhat predictable attempt to create a little Spring indoors.  Patience, patience…

Frivolity

Frivolity

Frivolity isn’t just frowned upon in New England, at times it feels like it’s viewed with downright suspicion.  When it comes to style and spending, there’s still a strong puritanical streak here in Boston.  So when I’m in NYC, it feels great to let my frivolous flag fly.  In my case that means Laduree macaroons, Boissier candy and Cire Trudon candles.  On an only slightly more practical note, I’m also hoping to check out these lovely gloves and clutch from Mulberry.  Is the clutch too pink?  It’s hard to tell online.  It might not be much easier when I’m drunk on NYC frivolity.
