It’s been a strange couple of weeks here, but in lighter news we got a puppy! I’m trying not to get too carried away with the puppy stuff, but it’s difficult.
Some days you wake up and you just know that it’s a baking day. I don’t know if it’s the temperature or something in the air, but I know that I won’t get through today without a quick batch of madeleines or some scones.
My San Francisco and Sonoma trip is part work and part play. And, as I mentioned yesterday, the weather has potential to be all over the place. So I’m trying to pack wisely, but also lightly. Here’s what I’ve got so far. I love a good packing list!
I was in NYC this weekend for the Easter Parade, which was fabulous, as per usual. I even saw Bill Cunningham! Next year, I’m going to wear a hat as big as the Ritz.
I’m going to be heading to Sonoma in two weeks and am starting to plan my packing list. It might be warm or it might be quite chilly, so I’m going to need some options. But regardless of the temperature, I’m definitely going to go on a wine picnic.

Last year I hated anything with a scalloped edge. This year I’m obsessed with scalloped edges. Go figure. I’m particularly taken with the darling Huit lingerie. Those scallops! The sweet, little heart on the backside!
